Plant swapping, especially in spring and summer, has become very popular.
In May 2024, we had an incredible experience by expanding our activities beyond our plant app.
We had the pleasure of working with two organizations to promote the circular economy and solidarity.
Together, we organized memorable events that not only celebrated our love for plants but also supported important local initiatives.
These collaborations made plant swapping more inclusive and accessible to everyone, broadening exchange opportunities for all.
Open Roubaix and Plant Swap at the Vestiaire
On May 5th, Roubaix was bustling with energy during OPEN ROUBAIX, and the city was alive with various events, including the Marché de Printemps on the Grand Place.
In this vibrant atmosphere, we hosted a magical plant swap at the Vestiaire, in partnership with Le Grand Bassin, just a few minutes from the Grand Place.
Plant enthusiasts arrived even before the event opened at noon, eager to participate.
The plant swap turned into a true celebration of greenery. The concept was simple and friendly: bring a plant and exchange it for another of similar size.
This allowed everyone to refresh their collection and discover new plants.
It really shows that plant swapping is an excellent way to green up your home.
But this event was more than just a plant exchange.
It was also a great opportunity to meet fellow plant lovers, who became friends and members of our community.
The smiles and exchanges created a warm and inspiring atmosphere, making this plant swap day truly magical for us!
4th Edition of Plant Exchange at IEM Christian Dabbadie
May 16th marked a highlight with the 4th edition of the Jardins Partagés Nomades.
Organized by a team of young individuals with disabilities at l’IEM Christian Dabbadie de Villeneuve-d’Ascq, celebrated inclusion and the love of gardening.
The day was a great success, bringing together La Ruche qui dit Oui, Meet For Branch, and La Mini Entreprise for a highly anticipated plant swap.
Around 300 gardening enthusiasts gathered to exchange their botanical treasures in a joyful and green atmosphere.
For those who did not wish to swap plants, a 2.50 € ticket fee was required.
We advised everyone to bring bags or crates to transport their new finds. Everything took place under a tent in the park, creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere.
The organization was impeccable: participants registered at the reception to receive their tickets, placed their plants on designated stalls, exchanged their tickets for new plants, and confirmed their choices at the exit stand.
After last year's great success, where 200 visitors found new homes for over 300 plants, this edition was even more vibrant.
Thanks to the mention in La Voix du Nord, the event attracted even more participants from several cities around Lille.
